I have got my nokia handsfree kit fitted in the roadster now, i still have the grundig stereo and decided to wire the kit directly into the back of the stereo using the green and yellow mini iso connectors, i used evilution's wiring diagram to identify the correct pins and power wise everything is fine, switches on with ignition and off when power removed. the phone pairs perfectly and the radio mutes when a call is made - then my problem occurs, no sound comes through the speakers, i have switched the phone mode on in the radio expert settings and turned the volume up for the phone in expert settings too. I have checked the diagram to ensure i placed the cables in the correct places and even tried connecting them both ways round as i wasn't sure which should be positive or negative (not sure this would even make a difference) i have put a multimeter across the speaker output from the handsfree kit and measuring as an AC voltage it does measure an output fluctuating up to around 5 volts when a call is in progress. Where am i going wrong? have i misinturpreted what the phone speaker input is capable of? is my radio itself broken or is the output from the handsfree kit not correct? my current thoughts are to get hold of the external speaker that usually comes with the nokia kits to check it is not the kit itself at fault and assuming all is well then see if i can borrow someone elses radio to see if that is the problem but if anyone knows better than me or has better ideas please let me know as i'm feeling frustrated with it

Re: Handsfree / radio problem, please help!
The kit does have two outputs but they are used for seperate things, there is a 3.5mm stereo jack socket which connects through the blue mini iso and allows you to stream music via bluetooth through the kit and this is working fine, there is then a 2.5mm mono jack which is the phone output, the kit actually came with an iso mute cable but partly because i wanted to feel clever and partly because i didn't want all the extra cabling behind the dashboard i decided to shorten it and wire directly into the head unit. The instructions for the kit do show 3 options for connecting the kit though, one of which is wiring straight to the headunit as i have. I think testing as a process of elimination may be the only way to go and if all else fails i will try re-wiring the iso lead
