Was swapping original speakers to new, not sure what colour is earth and what's positive.

yellow & green ?
Brown ?

Brown is allways ground.

As long as they're all the same when connected it don't matter, and to make sure they are just touch a connector on one and see if the sound is deeper or tinnyier, deeper and you were correct, tinnyier and you've reversed the polarity.
