Budget head unit and speaker options with iphone ipod connection

I am looking to get a budget head unit (say around 100 notes) and some better door speakers along with a new set of tweeters in the grills under the windscreen.

For the head unit I want to be able to connect my iphone 3gs and use it as my ipod when driving. I dont want an aux socket on the front of the head unit though.

Any suggestions?
