Best place to buy speaker door pockets?

Ok, I have to upgrade the sound in my Smart desperately!

I have the upgrade sound pack in my 450 Passion with the bins under the dash and tweeters on top. Have a good head unit.

I'm after an easy, cost effective upgrade. Removing the dash to get at the underneath speakers is too time consuming and costly as I have to get someone to do it.

So my plan is to change the dash top tweeters for better items and get some door speaker pockets which will give a good 'fill' too as all the sound wont be coming from the front.

Can somebody please recommend a good place to buy speaker door pockets and also any recommendations on good speakers and tweeters?

otherwise smartsrus/wellsmart do them I think, and I think I saw smartmods with them the other week too (though may have been mistaken).

are you 100% sure you've got the bass bins ?

I've seen new cars with factory tweeters on top , but the standard crappola underneath ?!!

the tweeters are fine imho

If you had the bass bins you would feel the bass slightly below as they are ported below

Have a good feel where the speaker is and confirm you can either feel the back of a driver or a plastic box

Hi Gav, I emailed you on the 'other' site but guess you didnt go on there today I'm thinking now I will keep the Smart, sort out the sound, get it serviced and see if I can reduce the interior noise with some sound deadening. Instead of getting a bigger thirstier everyday car, the plan is to keep the Smart and the thirsty blue car ()and maybe get another 3*8!!

The Smart is the ideal car for London. I will give you a call to discuss it today or tomorrow! Reading is a bit far or I would already have knocked on your door!

Hi, it's factory standard but I think it is the bass bins, it is a black plastic plastic box from what I can see. Still sounds s*** though!!!

i got some home made door bins that are coming off my car in a few weeks , they are a bit rough now as they have been on the car for years but they could make a start for a project and save destroying another set of door pockets !anyone got any idea how much the door pockets are from smart in blue lol!
