I was never happy with the look of my old speaker install in the rear boot in my roadster, it was an old speakerbox I had in the garage from years ago, and I had to hack off the bottom 2 inches to get it to fit as the boot lid would'nt close.
So I went on to utube and typed in, something like, "how to build a speakerbox" and watched lots of great videos on how to build a box and a great one on finishing the box off with carpet.
I used the 2 10 inch Sony Explod subs from the old box, but as I was building a bigger box to fit all of the boot space I also bought a set of 6x9 Sony speakers to give me more midrange punch.
The whole build took about a week, working a few hours a day, and here is the result.
The sound is a lot more deeper than the old box as I completely enclosed it this time and sealed it with silicone sealer, the difference is really marked, and the 6x9's helps give it a more rounded tone.
It's driven with a sony explod amp sitting upright behind the drivers seat as I don't have an issue with legroom, being a shortarse :p
