  • Standard CD Player Surface Error?

Hi, my friend has a 2003 SMART CITY ForTwo PASSION 61.

It has the standard CD player that comes with the car.

Playing orginal CD's is fine, but it won't play copied CD's, ones that are made on computer. The files are in the correct Audio format (WAV).

The error that comes up on screen is "surface"

any help on this situation? is there any way to get CD-R's working?

You can try different brand CDR's, but most won't work too well in the standard head unit.

Get on ebay and get a cheapo head unit that does MP3 format CD's, that'll definitely work.

2 places 1) www.smartmods.co.uk and the fittinr instructions on www.evilution.co.uk and 2) google denison ICE link, its expensive but it will also charge your iPod/Phone
