2011 entryline radio removal?
Has anyone removed the base radio from a 2011 fortwo yet? So far, have not been able to find any info on this. TIA!

Yes, it's a different radio for the 2011s - no more Radio 9/10. The entryline (base) radio appears to be single DIN and no longer has the plastic surround hiding it.

Remove the dashboard, fixings are all in the same place as the old dash, remove button bank, remove torx screw, unclip surround, remove screws surrounding the stereo and slide it out.
Careful though, although there is a radio surround for the 2011 model stereo I don't think it's for the lowline shape, I think it's only the highline stereo.
So if you are thinking about removing the stereo to fit an aftermarket one, make double sure that you have the right surround before embarking on this arduous task.Comment
