Problem playing CDs on new 2011 headunit.

I've got a new smart fortwo Passion (2011 model). It's got the new CD/iPod/sat nav unit in it (I think it's called Highline). When I play a CD, there is a gap of around 2 seconds between each track. This is really annoying, especially on mix CDs.

Anybody know of any fixes?

Are these new CD's or mix CD's made by yourself? (On itunes there's an option for mix CD's I understand)

These are 'proper' CDs.

no idea then, sorry. Have only had very little use of the new satnav/radio etc.

im afraid thats part of that unit, put your cd's on ipod and enjoy

That's not very satisfactory (the unit, not your response). I thought it might be the case. When they call me in a few weeks (they said they would), I'll have a moan.

I know this is off topic, but the sat navs a bit **** too. I'll be keeping hold of the TomTom methinks.
