Vibe Speakers?? Good or Bad??

Are Vibe speakers any good?? Anyone had them fitted in their cars? Not looking for massive sounds, Just an improvement on standard. Already got my amp and subs sorted.

I have Vibe speakers in my 451 (although the 6 speaker set with large woofers).
No complaints here. Bass is ok, high is ok, mid seems a little lacking but that is probably the stereo and not the speakers.

if you're on a budget, look at the JBL speakers.

they're far superior in every way.

one thing to remember is that while the factory speakers are somewhat rubbish, they're designed to be super efficient while running of the factory stereo. you may want to consider an amplifier to really see a big improvement!

I have tried JBL before, wasn't that impressed. The bass response was good, it was just everything else.

Infinity are top of my list.

save some money and buy a nice set of JL's or Bostons, Avoid VIBE, JBL, FLI, CHEEP PIONEER, MUTANT,FUSION....

There is no substitute for quality, also remember to budget for sound deadening, and consider amping up the front speakers

Have to disagree there! I had quite a few pairs (4 pairs in total) of the JBL gto entry level speakers in my old 451 and for their price, they were loud yet clean and were open to a lot of abuse!

granted they'll never sound as good as a set of Hertz energies for example, considering many of the SPL boys run with the JBL's purely as they can be overpowered and abused whilst still holding their composure! Sure it's not a SQ speaker, it never was meant to be, but for what they are, they're brilliant!

With that said most of the other entry level speakers are rubbish. To the op, go for a pair of components and run them actively for maximum effect!

completely agree, The trouble with the JBL stuff is it's hit and miss, the cheap stuff like you say will hold its own, but always had problems with there more expensive stuff, like da_glu says get a nice branded set of components, you'll not go wrong

Finally plumped for some Infinity reference 5010cs. Going to amp them up and fit a small 8" sub in a box on the back shelf. Yet to fit them so watch this space!!!
