head unit and ignition

hi
just replaced the grundig unit with a clarion h/u and 6 cd changer, it now sounds
a lot better, but i have noticed that the radio
will only come on when the ignition is switched on full,
i would like the h/u to come on, either on the aux position on the ignition switch
or on all the time so that i can switch off from the h/u
not being particularly clever at ICE, can anybody offer
up a suggestion as to how to achieve it
