  • want Scratch Black for - your colour choice!

    I'm looking for Scratch Black for a Mk7 Cabrio in very good condition. I don't have any panels to exchange but would be willing to buy a brand new set of panels in the recipients choice of colour in exchange.

    Any Scratch Clack Cabrio will do!

    A Cabrio pannel is a Cabrio pannel be it Mk4 or G2 (though scratch black only started on the Mk6).

        How mysterious! Thanks for helping, hope you're girlfriend won't mind having a 'twin' at meets, though mine will be part time panels.

          sorry....just been round to my mates tonight who HAD a scratch black one for sale and he sold it yesterday! :sad:
          He was going to sell it with "any standard colour panels" then you could have done the 'swap' with him.

          sorry........its just in too much demand!
          I tried!!!!

          p.s my mam says hi!

            That's just too cruel telling me that, but thanks for trying :smile:

            I will get those panels eventually, I'm getting more determined about it!

            Hi back to Ann!

              Always the way isn't it :frown:

              I am sure we will get some for you at some point. Have you spoken to any dealerships yet?

                I can get them via smartypartfast but not as a set, just priced individually (I'm sure I PM'd you about the price a week or so ago?). It works out quite expensive that way so that's why I'm willing to exchange for new panels, it's more economical for me and a good deal for the person I'd be swapping with.

                I was at smart, Newcastle yesterday and I noticed they still have scratch black on their colour options board. Knowing them, I don't suppose it means anything though!

                  Sorry not as clear as I thought :redface:

                  Have you tried speaking to any dealerships that might have a 2nd hand sratch black Cabrio in stock? They might be able to do you the deal you are after if you ask nicely (like I know you can).

                    Hmm, that's an interesting line of enquiry which I will pursue tomorrow. You're right clever aren't you :tongue:

                      I'm not sure getting panels off a 2nd hand car from a dealership is the best way to go - the good news is that they're looking out for them for me BUT the dreaded words 'labour charge' were mentioned, so that would be at least £100 added to the cost for changing over the panels :eek:

                        Just give me the keys to it for 20 mins and they'll all be changed . . .

                          20 minutes! That's good going :WOW:

                          Somehow I don't think they would let you do it though.
                          There's one thing I keep meaning to ask about panels - for transporting them, can they all fit inside a smart?

                            I have known it done before. Also this is where your powers of persausion come in :smile:

                            A full set of Smart pannels can fit inside a Smart, even allowing a bit of room for the driver, just not much and you would not want to drive to far in my view. (I guess we could pile them in nice and high as it's a cabrio though )
                            Much better to either take 2 smarts or find a larger car.

                              if you are still looking this might help, two door panels in scratch black, just seen them on ebay.

                              im not the seller but i thought u may be interested;

                              and for the other side panel;

                              i notice the seller has listed them as 'marble' but its scratch black effect i think.

                              also last week this guy had a load of random smart stuff. hope that helps.
