Found scratch black in Canada

I feel pretty lucky. I found out there was one and only one set of brand new panels in scratch black sitting in the Mercedes Benz Canada warehouse. I grabbed them and now they are on my passion cabrio. I love them. They are my absolute favourite. Does anyone here know which was the first year for scratch black? I think 2004 was the final year. Thanks.

I think Scratch Black came out with the Mark 6, peanut headlights. Which was 2002 if my memory serves me right.

I have a 2003 convertible with scratch black panels that I wish to swop for standard black or silver panels if anyone is interested. The panels are unmarked and as new.
