  • Panel changes

Just to let you know... what you can do (according to my brother who is a policeman) you can contact the dvla and change the colour of your car to multi-coloured so you change the panels as often as you like without having to inform them...

i thought the colour of the tridon was the only colour on the V5 and thus the panels dont matter to the colour of the car.

Please correct me if i am wrong

          Lol its true.
Most smartcars are either Black or Silver. (Other than one or two SRU specialities)
Kyms is both(you just gotta get the right angle :p)
          Leos is offiacially "Mud" coloured.
I always wondered if that could get me out of a parking ticket. if the warden puts down "Blue" can i argue, and say that wasnt my car? (After sneakily changing the panels, of course)

How many people read the panel swap forum?
Plus, not the whole world, just the part of it that doesnt wanna pay parking fines

mine was only registered to the tridion, so phoned the DVLA, just to check, and as the panels are so easy to swap, all smarts should be registered as the tri colour... then it doesnt matter about the bodypanel colour

thats what the DVLA told me anyway

Dont push the matter too much though... y'all know what the DVLA are like, hey'll prbly induce a "Smart Panel change charge" or some other moneygrabbing scheme
