Just picked mine up from SRU. Had a bit of a near-miss with a ditch after the water bottle caterpulted itself under the brake pedal when I went round a corner sharp-ish.
So... managed to justify it as a bit of potential life saving safety gear!
Now all I need is an excuse for the planned CD-changer, remap, Funkysmart wheels...
cheers,
Darren

Notts-smartie. CD Changer is easy, another safety device as it means you don't have to take your eyes off of the road or fumble with getting CDs out of their cases while driving (and trying to find the case that the other CD went into!).
Remap well thats to help you keep away from those tricky situations where you haven't got enough power to drive safely.
And the wheels, well it means you will be able to corner more safely at speed and have more grip on icy roads.
See all geniune reasons why you need those things to stay safe in your smart
As for the cup holder, mine is an expensive dust collector, have found that bottles fit better in the door pockets and don't move about as much so I don't use it!

smartysteve,
all "safety devices" will have been installed by this afternoon!
I feel so much safer knowing these things... but concerned I'm slipping into the female handbag & shoe shopping logic pool of justification
Dunno if you've seen the VW Beetle's flower vase, but the Smartie cup holder makes a handy pot-plant (of the house variety) holder!
If not utilised as a cup holder, what do others keep in theirs?
cheers,
D.

Back of the seat cupholders (drivers on is there for symmetry... the whole car is a style thang)
so in keeping with the mod scene i took out the pointlessly shallow cup holders and replaced with some very powerful tiny speakers which make a world of difference to the sound without being too intrusive on others ears
the extra cup holder that you can buy is pointless, my dealer said that they have most returned before the purchaser leaves the car park as any can or bottle bashes of the ash/money tray. i do like the airvent idea.

Have a cup holder, fitted it at the top rather than the bottom (Doh)and it gets in the way!!
Not often I have drinks in mine though just old parking tickets / packets of chewy / mints and old parking tickets.....
The rest of my car is really clean though.... Honest!!
Also have Ash tray (dont smoke so full of change for parking) And a CD holder that I havent got around to fitting yet.
