problems from new.

my car is now 1 year old, here is the list of problems i have had in the last 12 months:
front r/h wing scratched on delivery- replaced twice by smart bhm
driver side door panel mis-fitted- replaced twice by smart bhh
roof leaking- re-jigged 3 times by smart bhm
roof bars leaking- 2 replacements by smart bhm
passengers window fell out- refitted by smart bhm
2 main bulbs replaced
1 indicator bulb
and
r/h door panel keyed
r/h wing mirror smashed off
now
slipping clutch, spongey brakes and suspect rear dampner
yes,its been a bumpy 12 months
but i still love it!

with all them probs i would have tell them to swap it for one that was'nt jinxed

Jeeez, what a list i would be well pi55ed off with that lot !!!
2000 miles and a not a peep from our Passion !!!

latest problem!
£2 oil seal split- dont sound to bad does it, WRONG, oil has leaked to the inside of the clutch, full engine & gearbox to be removed, clutch & seal to be re-placed, getting it done on wednesday.
will keep you posted of all new problems. lol

It's probably too late now but I'm sure that there's a chance that you could take the car back to Smart as unfit goods and demand a replacement with a list of problems that long . . . .

yeah im sure i would have kicked off at them, mine is 2 years old and i bought it 1.5 weeks ago, got a couple of problems
1) scratches that wasnt there when i paid deposit
2) the clutch feels a little slugish (friends car has better pickup)
3) from the rear wiper i have water stains on the INSIDE of the glass,

all this is getting looked at by smart BHM on saturday

the list seems big but never had any trouble getting it fixed, so i can not realy complain.
my cars also modded so smart bhm could of told me to ram it, but they aint.
will see if the honda dealers are as good when i get my new toy.

My smart is 3 years old and has just sailed thru its first MOT with a clean bill of health. It runs like a dream at the mo - guess you've just been unlucky redeamer..

Hope those pesky problems get fixed..

what can i say, i love my smart! for her 20k service im going to buy her a full michelak body kit & fancy brakes, just to keep her sweet.
(thats if he gets there lol)
