If you have bought a new smart, how long did you wait?

4 months so far! (Hint I haven't got it yet) but soon, some day soon (or that just me being hopelessly optimistic?)

Bought Two Smarts longest wait was one week

Depends on colour etc, however most car companies keep the waiting time to the minimum, Don't they

For a factory ordered car its usually 12-16 weeks. If you can source one in the UK usually about a week, colours can be swapped so that reduces the time on UK cars.

If I wanted to wait for my exact spec it would have been 4 months. However there was one in the country that was close enough, just needed a panel and wheel swap. Got that in two weeks.

first one took 6 weeks (Piccadilly were useless), 2nd and 3rd were ready as soon as I wanted to pick them up
If you are flexible on options then delivery can be pretty quick. Dealers are usually happy to swop panels to ensure a happy customer...

Well it finally arrived after 2 1/2 wks. (Delayed because of the insurance)
Full credit to Smart Tamworth for a good prof service - although they did forget to change the alloys.
Keep looking out of the window to check it is still there!
