Is your Fuel Saver Working??

I have a roadster. I am still not convinced that I have fitted it to the correct pipe. The layout is slightly different on the roadster to the above pic. Can anyone help?

I am now on my 4th tankfull since fitting the magnet.
So far I don't see any improvement. I regularly get 42/44 mpg and its still the same.
It may be psycological but the engine does seem to run smoother ????
5000 miles from new Mk6 Passh. Most of my miles are during the am/pm "rush"(<img src=icon_smile_evil.gif border=0 align=middle>)hour...
I'll still keep a check on the mpg

I fitted my magnet last Friday,( and I am a mere female!) but it was on half a tank of fuel, so I will start checking from today when I filled up. I put a tie-wrap around my magnet, just in case those rubber bands ping off!
I keep detailed records re: fuel consumption, so I will report back when I have some data.

Well, Jeepster, I have just fitted my new scoop, having de-lipped the original half (and I am a mere female!), and it is just INCREDIBLE the difference that it makes!
I had a Brabus re-map, twin sports exhaust and sports filter fitted in September, and just never got round to doing the scoop.
Boy, I wish I had done before.
The extra flow of air to the engine just seems to give the car so much more oomph! I can highly recommend you do it, ASAP!
It is FANTASTIC!

Top tip for de-lipping...Cut lip down to edge in 8-10 places using stanley knife. Place unit in freezer for an hour. Snap bits of lip off with square edged pliers. Can only snap of few bits at a time as unit warms up very quickly. Place back in freezer for 10 mins and then snap away! East peasy!

Have scoop / re-map, K&N & dump valve, but not heard of that.

I have now lost count on how many times I have refueled the Smart car, I calculate the mpg on each occasion, and since fitting the magnets, I have not had less than 54mpg (was 45mpg)on a around town run. I have not changed my driving, so how come its worked for me??

only just fitted mine so no results as of yet but a have to say that as jeepster says i also feel that the engine runs a little smoother! no performance gains just a smoother feel the the engine.
