The achilles' heel of the smart car! Shite service but have the monopoly if you are under warranty. I will never buy another smart due to the piss poor customer service, still bitter!

I've had no major complaints about Smart of Hull (who have fixed a broken cabrio roof and just yesterday sorted knackered front roll bars / suspension), although they do tend to leave it really late in the day to tell you your car is ready if its ever in for repair work - especially annoying as I work in the town centre and can't get to them in time !!

Just bought my first smart from Plymouth merc 1 mile from home,said I would be picking it up thursday onwards so I was a little cheesed when I arrived friday to see a battery charger hanging out the passenger door and no radio fitted but not to worry off we went all smiles. Two weeks later found out by accident that the spare key would not open the doors was told the key had not been programmed and could I drive the car to Exeter merc (a round trip of 90 miles as it could not be done at Plymouth)so its arranged now that they are going to pick it up where I work and return but their going to put fivers worth of fuel in for me!!!!!

I found Liverpoo, to be really helpful and really good sales staff.....Manchester are just not interested...

The salesman at Lincoln was enthusiastic and knowledgeable.
Parts department were a bit slow.
Coffee machine wasn't working (just not-on!)
Overall 7 out of 10

Smart/merc of newport are the crappest most lethargic sloth like nasties you could ever have the misfortune of dealing with, one to AVOID. Unless you like waiting in newport for 8 - 9 hours for a service without being offered a seat in the waiting room...

Yeh, I'd have to agree, Newport are pretty crappy. Expensive too, although maybe that's a trait similar to all SMART dealers.

I have not had good experience with Hertford as you know. They may have improved since my last dealing with them last September.

I have had one brief encounter with Ipswich and thought they were good.

I have to agree with Tez... Liverpool get the thumbs up from me too! - Just about to ask for my 1st service too! (after 4 months!) so lets hope I can report some good prices for the work...
