• From bikes to Smarts

Anyone out there like me who has made the move from 2 wheels to 4?

Not had a bike for a long long time (bad accident, had a few scooters since), but I know a lot of smart owners are bikers. I'm still a biker at heart

Welcome to the club!

Im a biker at heart as well, Owned many over the years. I was one of the bikers you often see whizzing past you on the white line with about 7 other bikes on a Sunday afternoon. I also raced in the production class, Yam lc 350, I have raced with the late great Baz Sheen, Mick Grant on a yzr and The original Kenny Roberts and all over the country.

ohhhhh, what memories. I will always be a biker at heart and the sound of a Ducati 916 makes me ???????. Sad I know.

Ahh! Dave a Yamaha RD350LC YPVS. That's what I nearly killed myself on. I still have the scars, and the memories I LOVED that bike.

Ahh The oldies are the best My first bike was a KH 100 and brings back wonderful mememories
However I also remember the pain on impact when shattering a collarbone on a 125. I did not wizz round much after that. Will never make the grade on a track the fear factor hits in but I still have my favoured KR1S in the garage a right little minter! On high days and holidays I bring it out for a scream around the roads. You can't beat the smell of 2 stroke oil Mmmmmm

I used to have a Kris too. also a Yama TZR50, and a Suzi Goose 350 which I still see about.

I still own (well sort off, My sister has it) a Italjet dragster 180. Yes it's a scooter but it still has 2 wheels

The dragster can go like stink if tuned. Great fun. Scooters are great fun, but not many for the vertically challenged. I had a burgman 400 once I dropped the brute at low speed & could not pick it up Had to wait for a someone to pass to give assistance - doesn't do much for ones street cred!

Any tendancies to nip through traffic with the Smarts?

I replaced my vfr800 with an aprilia rsv mille, and replaced my merc with a smartie at the same time.... best move ever... a kenny roberts smart.... now theres a thought, what about an urban tiger smart ( fireblade motorbike paint scheme )
