I went to have a look at the motorshow...it's a bit 'normal' isn't it? (In a dull sort of way) If you took the badges off I wouldn't have known it was a Smart. Its OK but nothing more. Both the city coupe/cab and the roadster are innovative and clever examples in their class (almost classes of their own). The ForFour is just a car with a weird nose...like a Fiat Miltipleugh except I notice that they've made that look normal now.

Multipla even?
Careful, DaveMT may allege you are "optically challenged"
Alsmart - Multipleugh (Combination of Multipla and 'eugh' which sums up my thoughts on its stying). Forfour looks like what it is, a boring car wearing a few clothes borrowed from Smart

Giraffe, understood, but I was defending the Multipla in terms of your own criteria.
My point being that you criticised the ForFour for being 'normal' - I agree with you, as I said previously, it's a Mundane.
Since you value the clever innovation of our Smarts, I'm disappointed you do not see this quality in the Multipla, even though it is not to your taste or requirement.
I can understand the commercial and brand thinking behind the move and that's Daimler/Chrysler/Smart's call, but personally, if I wanted a Mitsubishi I would buy a Mitsubishi.
If you want to carry four people, buy a second Smart.
I drove onr last weekend and in comparison to all the other small cars out there it is way up there in style, comfort and even has pretty much all of the good bits from all the others it may look a bit of a mish mash of the others, nose off a 206 and bum from a corsa but it's still funky and fun to drive.
