<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle> Not sure that I would want a RHD now - the only small problem I have is that people I give lifts to, get in my seat, and are then surprised to find a steering wheel!
ive got a RHD MK7, had it for a week. its my first car and im loving it!!!!!<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
as i own a rhd car as well as a lhd smart, the only problem i find is that i sometimes get in the wrong side and you bet it always when someone is watching, lol
I suppose it's all down to what you are used to. I bought my RHD in Nov/Dec '02 as this is what the main stream of smarts were. If the only choice had been LHD, I think I would still have bought a smart.
I have tried a few LHD smarts and find the drivers seat a bit too low, but apart from that I could get used to it.
I would say there are more LHD smarts in this country than RHD at the moment, but with the smart getting ever more popular it's only a matter of time before RHD out number LHD - which, depennding on your view of smarts, could be bad or could be good.
I do hear a lot of comments from people that say RHD smarts are wrong and it's just a cheap bodge - but I would have to disagree on that. Either way, in my opinion they are all equal because they are all smarts
