I dont think its ongoing. i was told at ace cafe meet that it had stopped because. they had all sold there smarts. if its true why cant we start it there again......

It kind of faded away. I went a few times so was not a regular. Time I got home in the evening I did not feel like driving to Chelmsford (from Hadleigh). It was run by MissPolkadot but she has now moved to Lincolnshire and is running a local club there now. I have now moved just over the border in East Bergholt and was watching with interest about the possible 8 ball diner meet but seen that has closed down. There are a lot of smarts around Essex/Suffolk border but I suppose everybody is too busy to organise anything.

I live like 5 minutes walk from the 6 bells, if you want to start a meet there again I will go and chat to them tomorrow and see what they say.
However, if you still want to do this Essex meet on a Saturday then you may as well forget it, people are more likely to have something to do on the weekend. Even being as close as I am, Saturday is a no no for me.

There is a place called The Grange down the same road closer to Chelmsford CM3 3HJ, they have a few car meets there and they have a wider range of food and more area for eating. I know the staff well there too.

I must agree with hadleigh marky that a meet near Essex Suffolk border we be good because it would appeal to more people....Julie and Myself are new to Essex and we live in stanway colchester.

How about: Harvest Moon Café near Capel St Mary? Never been in there, but close to the Essex/Suffolk border. Or even East Bergholt itself, or Dedham? Must be a decent pub with reasonable car parking somewhere there??
