Hi Kevskars, that would be good. Which way would you go. A303 or A30? Did you go to Shaftesbury Carnival Saturday?

So if there are just 2 of us going up the A303 to Fleet would that be classed as a "fun size tube"?

Best check that this is happening as I think you will find most people will not be attending. Just a thought?

Jenny it went very well last year in spite of a small number of negative comments from certain quarters and attendance was good for the type of event it is. Perhaps it will be again this year as Beaulieu are advertising it! Do you have some definite measure of "most people not attending" or is it just a rather negative "thought"? It's not a smartmaniacs organised event but then again it wasn't last year either!

I quite hear what you are saying David, but if there is a choice between The Ace & Boolee then I just wonder which will be the more popular. I realise that they are not directly in competition with each other, however, it may drain some folks recources to do both.

                        negative "thought"
I never have them, life is too short

Yep, I'm probably overly sensitive to the last years unwarranted criticism of Beaulieu and even some criticism this year of the £8 discount on normal ticket price vis a vis the £1 charge for advance booking to get a 10% discount voucher for shop sales. But the Beaulieu staff put on a good show last year and 2 of our number got totally unexpected prizes that weren't naff. I notice that this year they have Coolfart & Puddlejumper cars' photographs prominently displayed . I think that the audience for Beaulieu these days is generally those who are relatively local while the ACE is much more central to London and it's feeder roads. Neither of them have formal trader attendance (in spite of a van parked at ACE )

Just a pity that MB can't organize their events better (and earlier) so that everyone else can stick to their plans. Don't think that I'll go to both events even though they're on subsequent days.

Yep, see you Saturday - not long now.

so are you saying that the normal price to get in is £18. daylight robbery.

Does anyone know of a suitable area where people could drop by and sit & chat for 10 mins?
