Hi folks, the format for this is, meet at Guys Thatched Hamlet, for food if required. Then tube through lights. 8-) Date 12/10/2012.

The start is at Guys Thatched Hamlet, St. Michael's Road, Bilsborrow,
Near Garstang, Preston, Lancashire PR3 0RS.

I will be there from 18:30. We will be leaving here at 21:30. If you
require food it would be advisable to arrive by 200.

would love to come mrs has give her permission. might take me all day to get there as im in dorset. and i will need somewhere to stay that does not cost the earth. will be looking into this.

There's a Holiday Inn and a Travelodge just off the motorway at Preston or Blackburn North West Premier Inn (probably cheaper than the Blackpool area during the Illuminations).
I'll have to check out the old social calendar; I love going through the lights but there will be a fight for the passenger seat! Two great-nephews and one seat do not go together.

edit: just noticed the leaving time - that's the small boy problem solved!

im all packed for my trip to blackpool just need to fuel up. will do that on thursday. am looking farward to it will be my longest trip in my smart. have to do a recky for when i bring the mrs ?? and have to come in my other car as more room for all her stuff. hehe

Probably something to finalise when we get there, but are we going to do south to north after meeting or north to south? South to north down the motorway and straight on, may make it easier to stay together.

Weathers good at the moment (slightly chilly) but good. Not wet yet and certainly not snowy or anything, hope you all have a safe and comfortable journey ..

Hi guys would have loved to have been there tonight but only finished work at one am saturday morning.......................... Will somebody please post up some photographs. Hopefully somebody took some piccys of the tube on the prom.....
Will be in blackpool myself on the 22nd of october for the week for the lights but without smart as i need four seats for me mrs and little un.

just like to say thanks to all i met on the blackpool lights run. it was great. also to let you know that i did the hole trip of over 600 miles on the one tank. and most of it was at 65 70 mph all the time. just had two dead stops on the motorway due to to much traffic. the weather could of been nicer but he ho it was fun. also i have you on video in the shorts hehe. and a big thanks for makeing may day to SIR geoff your a gooden.
