From what I read on other sites Poole will organise it if they have enough people write to them and express interest... should we do so ourselves?

The is nothing this year.
I emailed the woman in charge shortly after last year to be told we were being replaced and there was no place for us in the line up. I believe there was about 50+ cars for last year. Which obviously isn't good enough for Poole Council

I tried other places with decent views, including bournemouth / boscombe pier, but they wanted massive insurance setup etc which was far too much (well in my view) and would have needed to charge folk for it.

When you came it was a fifth Friday of a month, so not one of the regular weeks.
I have so many requests for inclusion that I share out the fifth Fridays

thats the reason for not having the place

Have you considered any of the hotels in the East Cliff that overlook the sea, the Miramar, East Cliff... even the Menzies, as they would welcome us if we had food there too? Is that worth doing? I'd even consider organizing it myself if there was enough interest.

Tom, to be honest, i had not even considered that option.
Its prob too late to organise now

You can ask them but personally I find Poole [council] woefully impossible to deal with.

I'm happy to organize something for a month or two and even maybe for the fireworks next year?

If people would prefer Poole to Bournemouth then I'm happy enough to speak to the Thistle on the Quay.

I think end of October would be good, but how many others would be interested?
