I'm over it, but I've only got a Mitsubishi chassis unlike your Mitsubishi engine!!

I'm pretty sure that all the engines in the forfours are the same ones in Mitsubishi colts.

As my signature says (and you of all people should know this!) it's a Mercedes engine. The most powerful three cylinder common rail diesel ever made.



I think it's safe to say the sticker idea is a marmite mod!!!

best thing to do would be to aquire a colt and a forfour and see what bits are the same! that might stop the forfour/colt argument!

Petrol forfours have Mitsubishi Hearts. Diesal forfours have a Mercades heart.

There are a lot of joint venture markings on parts, like the Cat, that's got a Merc tristar and Mitsubishi logos on them.

The wheel spokes are all in good nick. It looks better in the flesh and is only a trial idea. I can always remove them but I like 'em.

I had to look at the photos a couple of times to see what you had done, which to my mind means it;s a really subtle ,well conceived mod.

I think red might be a little cheap, though different

The stickers might get hot - didn't you read that before you posted it?

What part of 'air cooled' is hard??

The only way the brakes could get that hot would be sustained heavy braking - which must mean you were going faster - which must mean the fins are spinning faster in an increased airflow!

As for the 4/4 jokes (guilty) having driven my partners diesel regularly I grudgingly admit it is better built, more economical, and faster from a standing start than my roadie.

However she will use the roadie over her 4/4 on the slightest pretext......
