For Four door problems

Just joined the forum - hello all.

I have a brabus model forfour and so far only a few problems. The driver door has developed a problem - I can't close it without powering down the window and closing using pressure on the outside of the door. Ring any bells for anyone?

Also cause I'm so lazy I put the car through a BP car wash last year and it ripped the stubby spoiler off the rear of the car. BP wouldn't take responsibility for it - anyone had similar problems?

Hi, How are you? Right, first things first... Never take a forfour through an automatic car wash. Ever. Mainly due to the damage it can do to the glass roof, that is I assume you have a panoramic glass roof or electric sun roof...
Secondly. All forfours have a problem with the cable in the drivers side doors, it's easily overcome by quickly flicking the inside door handle twice before shutting. You will be surprised how easy it works. Might have to do it a couple of times though. I had the problem all through the heat wave in summer, can be a nightmare... But i haven't had the problem since. It's a common fault but it only rarely happens, due to weather conditions i guess. Now you can get mercades/smart to replace the door cable for you, but i wouldn't bother untill it actually snaps. The forfour is a lovely car and i hope
this problem doesn't ruin the 'smart' experiance for you. :goodlk:
