Hi everyone, can anyone let me know where I can get hold of a 1.5 CDI Gearbox Manual as my one is damaged. A new one from Smart costing aROUND £1,500, its a joke! Thanks.

scrapyards or some of the indies perhaps listed in the top right corner of this page

or maybe have it repaired? - what's wrong with it precisely? bearings?, gears?, synchro cones?

There are a few cars breaking on Ebay at the moment, but not sure if cdi's?

£1,500 is crazy money! My brother had his VW Polo Gti gearbox fully rebuilt for £295! from Dain in Norwich http://www.transrep.fsnet.co.uk/

And it comes with a warranty

No mate, cdi forfour's Have a Mercades engine.

Only the petrol have Mitsibishi engines.

try smartypartsfast and he may be able to do you a bit cheaper

try kate (lilsmartie) at wellsmart and see if she can get hold of one

try fudge on here as he does lots of work on fortwo engines and gearbox rebuilds and now has a forfour

try chequered flag as they do engine rebuilds etc

If it's a softouch it'll be a Getrag gearbox and as far I know they don't supply spares apart from oil seals. The manual is a Mitsubishi box.

The Colt also came with the Merc 1.5 diesel engine set up, so you might need to check their part numbers for the gearbox. There are usually slight differences in mounts, etc.

are you after a manual gearbox or a manual for the gearbox? if the latter I think you'll be out of luck.
