clutch problems

[aussie forfour]

hi, we own a beautiful 2004 Forfour, semi automatic 1.3 and we have am jor problem atm. part of the clutch actuator is broken and needs replacement. hard to get here in australia and perhaps worthwhile sending it from UK..

we need the plastic wheel/cog that belongs in the actuator housing. Seems i can't attach pictures? so please contact me so i can send you.

you need components IN the actuator housing? i thought that the forfours had a propper automatic gearbox? have you tried mercedes dealers in australia? try wellsmart, they might be able to help

emailed wellsmart few times but get messages back that there's busy and receive 50 emails per day?

any idea how i can attach a picture of the part I need?

Greetings, there was somebody recently but not currently parting out a forfour on www.trademe.co.nz. Worth keeping an eye open on the site to see if they run another auction. Or list an auction, 'wanted to buy.' Cheers, Ian.

Pop across to www.forfour.co.uk as I think someone on there may have taken one apart!!

It could be the same as the fortwo one???

guiys, thanks for all info but unfortunately forfour is not same as 4-2..... and it seems that a semi automatic (i can use sequential or normal automatic settings) is not very common in Europe?

sure looks extremely similar in operation (albeit not the same shape casting) to the fortwo/roady actuator.
and as I've said in that case, a complete assy is the only supplied part

hi problem child, thanks but the actuator, worm wheel for my smart is different than the one they give the explanation for. my smart is a semi automatic and the worm wheel is def. different... it is so strange i can't find a site where to buy those kind of parts.
does anyone know what a good mitsubishi spare parts site is? As i understand the worm wheel i'm after is the same as in the mitsu colt semi automatic 1.3 from 2004 onwards.
