I assume 9 flashes on a forfour means exactly the same as it does on a roadie -time to change the key batteries>

So what type of battery is it, and is it one or 2?
    (It's the girlfriend's, she doesn't know and neither do I )

Davros, I'm not 100% but assuming it does, it means the car has lost the code of the key (s) and thus needs recoding....

        Re: 9 flashes

        According to the forfour handbook/manual

"How to recognise when the battery in the key will soon be spent:
The turn signal lights flash nine times in quick succession when you lock the car.
Cause: The remote control battery is almost spent. You will be able to use the remote control approx. 100 more times"

So in other words like the fortwo.

        Battery type Lithium Cell CR2016

Yes, low battery life left. Mine did it just before Christmas, nothing to worry about, just pop into Halfords or a jewelers for the battery quoted above.

I already knew I had to change the battery (or batteries)

but I do appriecate the type number - I'm right in saying there is only one?

As the above all said (well not Fudge for a change lol) batteries, had it with mine. Same battery as used in a 1 button 450 key fob (but they need 2)
