Dorr handle inserts

When we bought our 4four 4 years ago, we got all excited and bought door handle inserts in silver metallic, which are applied behind the handle and look great. It relieves the boredom of black plastic and sets off the paint nicely.
We recently had to change a door handle completely though and could not refit the insert. So please, ANYONE KNOW WHERE THEY CAN BE FOUND??

They used to be available from Berlin tuning (google) but I can't believe the inserts wouldn't come off though!! They are only stuck on......hair dryer to warm the glue and they would have come off

I recently invested in a set - but my issue is there is a thin piece of plastic retaining the handle in place.

I have to somehow temporarily move this plastic guide before I can get the insert in but it seems very stubborn to anything but brute force.

How do I get them in?!

Its been a while - but thanks for replies. It came off ok by warming. Trouble came in putting back on. It snapped in half!
