Re: Top gear
I always wanted to be the sniper in the crowd who shots the players with incapacity dart. It just makes them fall over as if they had been shot, but they get back up after 30 seconds with nothing wrong with them. TARTS.

Re: Top gear
I found the topgear treatment of the Forfour rather pathetic. They could have done a proper roadtest of the car and demonstrated it's capabilities. Instead we had a parody of the lounge concept with them idiots in the car for twenty four hours instead of a picnic lunch. Some of you might love this programme, but I'm not entertained by bigmouth ripping the hell out of a £200,000 car on the track. Would be good if they concentrated more on cars that we're ever likely to own. I long to see a proper programme on the telly about cars instead of this tosh that is endlessly repeated to fill up the satellite broadcasts.

Top gear have evolved this entertainment style they have adopted because it has increased its (overall) popularity

I think you are seriously missing the point of these shows - as well as doing them an injustice. (They review plenty of standard cars)
I don't want a comparision of the 'new toyota Avensis vs the Honda' -they are just cars you drive not cars you dream about.
A programme like that would just bore me sh**less

Re: Top gear
No not missing the point. I know it's "entertainment" for the masses and Hammond and May are excellent presenters of their own programmes. Agree about Fifth Gear and watch that one with interest. I am not one to dream about cars I'll never own. I'll spend hours in a museum or at a show looking at them with interest though.

Re: Top gear
I watch Top Gear for the same reason that I listen to Mark Kermode's film reviews - entertainment. I'm not in the market for just about anything TG review, and tbh neither is virtually anybody else, just as Kermode is wrong about virtually everything - but they're all good fun.
