Glow plug relay ?

I drive an excellent forfour cdi - stunning performance from a fab SMART machine !

The car starts fine and the glow plug warning light goes out as it should but on occasions it will come back on for about 30secs and then go out again. I suspect a stick relay - any idea where the relay is located and if at all possible where I can buy a replacement relay other than at a MB dealer!

firstly get over to www.forfour.co.uk for forfour specific info
and im guessing that the glow plugs are ignited by the ECU (correction if im wrong) and not a relay, and i wouldnt think the relay would cause that fault, it need plugging in to the MB diagnosic machine to pin point the fault

hopefully we have confirmed what you said, it could very well be the relay - however..... knowing/finding where it is is another matter
