  • Wifi OBD2

    well i finally took a bit of a plunge.....

    got my "fake" kiwi wifi OBDII device from china (about £30) and eventually got that up and running

    installed dash command (it works with my double DIN app radio) which was £35 ... ouch!!!!!

    the good thing is you can customise the view by downloading different set ups (you can't customise the gauges/look "in app")

    first impressions are good (although boost pressure seems to be a no-no.......)

    and some videos.....

    using dash command

    apologies for the vid quality but as my iphone has to be connected to run this, i had to use my old "flip video" so the focus is poor!!

    Re: Wifi OBD2

    Looks good. Waiting on my wired iPad connector lead (should lag a bit less than wifi) and then I'll be making some kind of mount for my spare iPad.
    I guess you can only set up the readouts for standard OBD parameters, you can't tell it to look at other addresses?

      Erm - it has gauges that go up and down

      Looking at some of the custom dashboards, there must be options to look at other stuff as one I was running today had throttle position.

      Delay is not bad on speed and rpm but on other things can be around 1second.

        Looks far much better than my android application Torque connected via bluetooth

          i wanted torque but integrating a bt OBD2 and android phone and charger was just going to be a pain
