  • Brabus forfour remap

Performance figures TBA after road testing complete....watch this space!!

but VERY pleasing to the eye!!

Tony of tune4performance spent about 7hours writing a map, testing it, tweaking it etc ..........muchos Kudos to the man!! perfectionist........ And a friendly, knowledgeable man.

As this is one of the first proper UK maps on a standard BRABUS forfour (he did one on a modified one with front mounted intercooler/4-in-1 manifold/decat) I am running it around for a week or 2 to test and then it will go back for a final tweak!

When Tony and I are both 100% happy with the map, I will post up the figures and dyno curves (I have them but no point releasing them until its a finished product) but the car drives sooooo much faster now.

Pre map dyno run was pleasing as I was a over the 177bhp already but a little bit (which always takes some worry away what with the car being over 6years old) so huge praise to the Mitsubishi power plant too!!

If you removed a layer of stickers and dirt that'd make it a bit faster too

haha - stickers came off while i was waiting and the dirt was collected on the 150mile drive there on the M4

worth it though.......and the drive back was awesome

you will need to book in the BRAB when its ready. well worth the money (£350 as advertised by Tune4performance on here in December)

surely one 70 mph journey is no faster than another 70 mph journey?

Spent another few hours with Tony at tune4performance (@s2smarts last week)

He knows his stuff big time

We fitted (yes we... Me and him) new forge boost actuator and he then set it all up and then tweaked the map to take into account of the new hardware.

            The results are awesome

And thanks to all the other forfour owners who popped along to just say hi - very cool!!

                Re: Brabus forfour remap

I took out the 2 guys who have stock cars that came down to watch as they were interested.......

                ....they couldn't believe the difference.

like with the the other turbo smarts, a remap is the best bang for buck you can get!

and a 200bhp/tonne car is a very nice to have!

                  Re: Brabus forfour remap

So with this remap do you realistically need the forge actuator Aswell? I'm looking to start modding my brabus now after 4 months of having it. Think ill start with silicon pipes and induction kit. Then the forge actuator and remap hopefully,

                    Re: Brabus forfour remap

Forge actuator not really needed - the spring on my OEM one was weak.

I think tony has some good ideas so have a chat with him

The Forge actuator has a more linear spring tension, the oe tends to drop off towards higher revs.

Hello, well im 99% sure im going to

                        A.Fit induction Kit
                        B.Get it remapped by Tony
C.also get the forge actuator fitted.

in the next couple of months,

is the remap still going well problem child? no issues? how many miles have you done since you had it mapped?

                        Regards Matt

                          Re: Brabus forfour remap

                          Map is going v well.

Mpg is up (if I can stop pressing the pedal so hard and smiling)

Most acceleration is applied in 2nd otherwise the tyres just smoke up

Speak to tony first before committing to any hardware mods - he really does know his stuff.
