    would probably be worth replacing the whole part....... give merc a call and see how much they want. Merc are normally the cheapest for parts.

      £54.48 for pedal complete either Part No A4543000204 or A4543000004

      Part No will be on a sticker on the current pedal anyway

        Got that code twice last year didn't drive car for two months. Have been driving it again for about three weeks and am expecting the fault to turn up again soon only a matter of time hope I've got my Ford Fiesta by then lol so not under so much pressure.

            Looked at map sensor and pedal on car going to look at replacing both :-)

              Probably say goodbye to your problems once they are replaced to. If you need Part Nos etc I am willing to look them up for you.

                        If you have reset the ecu or replaced the sensor it takes a while to learn the new data being received and reteach the throttle response. Depending how long it's been like that it should go back to normal.

                          Thanks for all help on here Smart started to behave after a few trips so I have sold my Forfour! I feel really sad without it :-( anyway thanks to everyone who replied to this topic :-) hope my Smart is happy in his new home :-)
