Breaking Forfour - maybe

We may break our lovely Forfour 1.5 Passion. It's very well speced with full leather heated seats, air con etc. Very strong and sweet engine, new discs and pads, actuator, ABS, with everything else working, all perfect panels but bumpers scraped a bit. Only known issue is possible Gearbox/clutch. Can't believe I'm even thinking about it!
Is there a market for the parts - anyone interested in a complete car?

If your struggling to narrow the problem down either take it to mb, your specialist should be able to narrow it down though with a star machine as they can diagnose and run tests on many if the components to locate the fault. Or failing that price up the worst case scenario which would be the replace the entire clutch and see if you think its worth it. There is a market for parts as there getting harder to come by as they are not made any more plus many parts a very expensive new! Decisions decisions

Had it sent to MB Maidstone and they diagnosed a broken gearbox. It's probably trying to engage two gears and something inside has broken.
This is what I said most likely with a computer because of the noises. It's going to cost a lot to get back a broken car!
Have to draw a line under this very soon.

OFFERS PLEASE - Looking even more likely we'll break it or sell complete for spares. Criminal really because it really is very good.

colt gearboxes come in at not much wonga!!

i think you could have the car on the road again for about £500
