To go from 61bhp to a reliable 100bhp, you need to have the following:
Roadster injectors (pref Brabus ones)
Roadster Camshaft (from standard 82bhp)
Roadster turbo and a 74Kw (Brabus) TIK pipe
Decent air filter system
Silicon intercooler hoses
Better flowing exhaust system
Remap
I'd probably look at fitting an oil cooler and spin-on oil filter as well.
Probably cost you around £2000 including fitting. Most independant tuners will put a package together for you from SAD, BIG or SRU to name but a few.
it could be done without all the above..one car was taken to nearly 160bhp..it went bang..this was done over at hambach..ps..when i say can be done without the above...not wise

SRU= smarts r us, what do the others stand for?
thisis what i want to do to my 700cc but nobody i email about it ever gets back to me!!!
Mapping alone can give you 100+ bhp. However if you rely on all the standard smart components, life may be very short.
No one, and I mean no on has yet validated the engine life of a 100+ bhp modded smart engine, particularly in day to day use and under stress.
When tuning to these levels we are still waiting to see low long they will last. Some of the map alone cars have only been around 4 months. Those with merchanicals have been around 8 months.
The driving experience may not be very nice on a smart modified exclusively with a remap in order to get over 100bhp.
The bhp figure may be high and the car will shift well enough but it may lack smoothness if the induction hasn't been upgraded and a custom map will be even more necessary to give the correct fuelling and a smooth bhp and torque curve.
There may also be more chance of the car slipping into safe mode.

This is true.
In the early days 1998/1999 it was possible to break 120PS from a map, with the standard engine setup. But servicing every 1,000miles & stripping down the engine very 7,000mile would be required.
So for normal day to day driving it was not exactly ideal.
If you have a Brabus or 60kw setup in your fortwo to break 100PS is relativly very easy from remap. But as always its down to choice of the supplier
Always look into the development time and effort put into the tuning to give you a guide to claims and performance outcome.
