I can remember those being about in Germany I think. One of the main problems then and perhaps still now with that power and the standard components is the clutch. I am sure the clutch, although it will be over designed, will have difficulty with these levels of power. Also if no better air filter has been fitted I think the car will have difficulty taking in enough air to burn enough petrol to make it over the 100bhp in the long term if it's treated/serviced as normal.
