I've started using fuelly.com to monitor my mpg and the site is very good it even lets you see how other cars are fairing. There are about 250 Smarts on there at the moment but I'd love it if they seperated them out into the various models, i.e. 600/700cc and CDi for the 450 and MHD/Turbo and CDi for the 451 and a seperate catagory for Roadsters then we could get a real look at how they are all doing.

i filled mine up from empty before we went to Ace and iv done 310 miles and still got 2 plips left..

its an 04 passion, always driven in auto cos im too lazy to change gear.

Hi Haze,

I've looked a little deeper into fuelly.com and if instead of selecting the ForTwo under Smart you select Other in the vehicle type you can add a more specific name which we can use as a convention allowing us to drill into detail properly.

I've used '450 ForTwo 698cc' as this gives it a specific model

but 46.4 is wrong:wag: , 55.7 IS your MPG (UK Gallon) from 368 miles and 30 litres

I'd hazard a guess it's using US Gallons which are about 3.8 litres to the gallon whereas uk gallons are 4.55

And the 'gas' instead of 'petrol' is a dead giveaway it's a US site

Check to make sure you click the UK top left of the page. You only need to do it once on each computer you use it will then remember your preference.

My MPG is low as the car needs a little TLC and a C service as soon as Fudge is available.

UK now ticked again and mpg showing as 55.7 ... im back to being truely impressed thanks you 11.45(again!) and two+


I changed the model option to 'other' and pasted in '450 ForTwo 698cc' as the new one ... but when i went to search for other 450 ForTwo 698cc it couldnt find any

I think you need to wait for it to be approved before we show up on the search again then it's a question of talking to the other owners.

had to wait until i needed to fill it up as this was my first go at measuring the mpg so no past info (only the 2nd time ive filled it up)

368.3 miles
30.06 litres put in
46.4

2003 700cc model - mostly A+B roads out of town - average journey about 7 miles, biggest maybe 30 at a push

Yeah thats what ive had too tbh. Second fill up was only a couple of days ago. Would say 75% urban driving too.
