      With difficulty!
Tolsen is the man who can tell you how - in fact I believe he already has, Have you tried the search function to see if there is an old post about replacing the clutch? Most people would just have bought a new clutch "PaK", i.e. the whole unit and not dismantled it down to the clutch friction surface.

Igor, you may find some practical tips in below thread. Reassembling clutch is difficult. I think Mottofree gave up in the end and bought a brand new one.
Today I installed gearbox and noticed that amounted pressure plate (before I installed it on the car). Gearbox worked very hard to place (only draw of screws). I hope that the vibration motor to line up. If you slip , only if the clutch is again reset to solve?

Tolsen, thanks for the link. It helped me a lot.
After a big effort i pressed the clutch adjuster to its factory limit and assembled the clutch. Seems to work perfectly. But i can say it is not worth the effort, better to buy a new whole assembly. (I damaged one when i was resetting the mechanism). I made it only because i need to drive the car, but here the local dealers can deliver the clutch in 3-4weeks. That was too late for me. Btw if everyone is interrested i have a 452 Roadster with a so called big block engine (800ccm displacement made with a CDI lump and a roadster head on it).

I still have not worked out exactly how deep to press in the pressure plate. For that reason each clutch job is a hit and miss sometimes requiring two or three attempts. Need to measure on a brand new clutch. Tried with Mottofree but no result due to language barrier.

I used clearance measured on the old assembly. It was 1.4mm. Clutch friction plates that I used are 2.0mm thick. (The original ones were the same).

Where and how do you measure. Sachs clutch part number too.

I am now at work. The clearance was measured thru the 0deg. timing window. Under the cutout there is visible clearance between the pressure plate part and the flywheel part. I measured it before i started to disassembly it. When I arrive home, ill send photos and P/N of the assembly.

I see yours is a petrol Smart. Regrettably there is no such window in clutch for the 450 diesel.
