Ok, got to fit a new one-way valve then... the pipe seems still healthy, the valve is definitely broken.

    thank you,

Mine was sticking at around 50-55,000 miles. UK price is around £12. Just read elsewhere on the 'net a guy thinks his broke and deposited two steel parts into the sump - which he had removed to cure severe oil leaking - caused he reckons by faulty valve. Cheap peace of mind at £12.

On a different note... I actually like the transparent sun blinds!
I find they just take the glare and brightness out of the sun, whilst retaining some additional visibility

They did make them solid in the later cars and they are interchangable if you did want to swap them.

In retrospect, I suppose "supercalafragalisticexpialadocious" wasn't a great "safe word..."

I agree...it adds some "sole" to the car...
          But it is strange.

Note: in the smart car you can't try the crankcase pressure with the oil cap trick, because distribution chain is right under it and will spray oil everywhere.

The chain is there on many cars, never stopped me from this test. If there is enough under-pressure in the crankcase, the filler cap is kept enough tight against the valve cover in order to stop almost all spraying.
On a Smart one might have use of a helper to press the pedal though..the cap can/will fall off if the rpm and boost rises too much...then its good if someone have a hand there to keep it tight.
