  • Which wheels are these?Help!

    Hi,
Wanted to get the Brabus 16 and 17" set but after my mate with the Brabus told me they really hamper performance and economy,!(Now I know why there are so many 16" & 17" wheels for sale here in Portugal!) , I thought I would stick with 15s , so bought these second hand wheels and tyres !They are 4.5x15 ET 25 Front and 6x15 ET -14 Rear. The guy I bought them from didnt know where he got them !
They are good ,no vibrations and quite light! They dont have a lip but rear is concave with negative offset and looks really nice.

I would like to buy a rear set to fit on the front ,which I want to widen .The only markings on the inside of the wheels are AVIA but I searched and got nowhere. So,if anyone can help me identify these,I would appreciate it!Cheers

Can't help with the identification - they have Brabus look but thought Brabus wheels were bigger than 15''.

Try your rears on the front meantimes. You may not like the effect on the steering - makes it slaphappy and it becomes very difficult to 'place' the car when pressing on. Not recommended.

          They are imitation wheels.

OEM Monoblock VI only in 16.17,18 inch

So you will need to google on 15 inch monoblock VI , and find suitable wheels for your setup.

I walked 185 on my back and it's okay.
On the face I used 135/70 (STD) and 145/65 (optional for CDI).
On the face I do not know how it behaves wider than 145/65 but I know for sure that I need flange adapters.
If you use much larger or much smaller tires (+ -10%) you will have problems with the car's computer system .

              .
It is the offset of the rear wheel that is the issue, not the tyre width.
I run 195/50 at the front on Roadster steel front wheels and it works really well. The same tyre on a Jetline rear wheel when fitted to the front was just horrible.

The Roadster is something other than the Fortwo Cabrio.
If the wheel is wider in front, at the turn it is rubbing against the body.

Roadster wheels on a fortwo is what I have.
Only on full lock is there a slight rubbing on the inner arch liner. The Jetline rears on the front fouled the outer arch edge.

Thanks for the all the input, guys.
Maybe Thrumleux is right! The rears on the front may make slap happy!Going to fit the 175/55 on the front and buy some 195/50 s to put on the rear and see how the car behaves.
Thrumleux, what about putting a 20mm spacer on the existing front wheels to bring them inline with the wheelarch, will this also make it slaphappy, you think?Cheers

I ran that set up for a while on the Jetline wheels.Better than the original set up, a huge reduction in understeer.

Spacers would in effect create the same offset as a rear wheel so I'd give them a miss. 195/50s on 5'' rims (Roadster steels) at the front fill the arches.
(Roadster steels have a lot going for them. Lightest of all the smart wheels, cheap (to buy brand new) tough as a cockroach and permit 195/50s all round.)
