Handbrake cable

Hi All,

My son bought a 450 2005 fortwo and we have done lot's of work but i'm struggling trying to get the old cable off the handbrake. Anyone have techniques to get those clips compressed? I've tried a 10mm ring spanner but there is not enough room for me to pull down fully to release these clips.

It's off the drum (easy bit).

I've read that but don't know what diameter what the pipe is... any ideas?

I intentionally did not state the inside diameter of the pipe because I was worried the info could be used by Brexshiteers.

Try 10.5mm.
