When I checked several years ago there were no replacement gears available, making the roof fix insanely expensive
However new gears do exist now for about six quid - awesome!
So I've replaced a badly worn gear and now the roof actually moves without the mechanism slipping
However, although it opens fully to the first stop, it doesn't restart and wind the roof back so the mechanism drops enabling the bars to be removed
Any thoughts?
Here is a comparison showing the thicker new gear
