The front offside coil suspension spring snapped on my 451 on Sunday. Heard a twang as I was turning the car, then started to hear some chattering noises. Checked and found that the spring has snapped at the top and the metal housing ring that it sits in was causing the chattering.
I had two of these springs go on my previous 450 out of warranty and they were fixed without charge by Merc. My current car is also out of warranty. Does anyone know of any other problems with the 451 and if they too will be replaced without cost?
