Putting the Triangle plastic part on the aerial side back on

Any one have any tips for getting the Triangle plastic part on the aerial side (on the left in the picture) back on to the car, I have no trouble with the other side it just goes back in to place perfect but the aerial side I just can't get it to sit in place properly.

I removed them to get them painted to match how my new interior parts which have been painted recently.

Thanks for any advice I've managed to get it back on but I can see its not sitting properly as the screw is not quite straight like the piece is pushing itself away from the car.

Can't say I have ever had any issue popping it back on - and I remove/refit this fairly regularly.

I had similar but so long ago I've forgotten the detail. I think, I loosened the ariel base part to get it to line up.
