Just purchased a 2011 Passion, the media display is very dull despite adjusting brightness, it seems to fade more after some time. The Sat Nav software version is V1, would it help to update to latest version (V5) or is there another answer to my problem.

It's extremely doubtful a firmware update will help with a problem that gets worse after time such as yours, you have a hardware (or supply) problem...most likely within the unit. -
Is it a Bosch High-line unit? if so they have very poor screen quality at the best of times. Could you upload a pic?

you would probably find its cheaper to buy the chinese knock off (which is better in every way than the original unit,.) than try replace and repair the bosch...Comment
