really annoying dash squeak/creak on cabrio...any remedies?

there is a REALLY annoying squeak which seems to emanate from the heater control binnacle..it must be loud as it solidly drowns out all the other squeaks and rattles that are developing in the car (its only done 7k...will be stone deaf by the time its done 17k!). any suggestions as a starting point on how to quieten it down....short of ear defenders or doing a van gogh?????

What year is your 451 as they had a dash change. Also where are you in the world so you can be pointed at a good indie
