from 2nd gear to neutral can not change gears

I have 999cc for2 2008 .traveling on 2nd gear, car goes to neutral, engine ticking over(20yrds from home)coast to home and can not change gear. its in neutral. ok...next day try diagnose...now engine will not start...not able to get start up, battery is low.11.86v...
can someone help with any diagnostics. regards john

checked with my diagnostic meter(icarsoft) reads error in control unit N3/10 (ME-SFI(ME) CONTROL UNIT
ALSO ANOTHER FAULT SHOWSshort circuit or open circuit can wires...also another fault comms with vehicle ecu
please can you give advice on solution to problem...many thanks John

I would think you need to check wiring to gear change motor's and also gear position sensor first at least.

..... and charge your battery up!

was my clutch actuator....3 lines gone after freeing up inside.....not sure if i need new one or lubricate it....can anyone advise me..inside look ok, no rust ,arm is ok, just the pivot i think got stuck, or maybe ))).regards john

new actuator...expensive...put in myself ,but car now runs good....thanks for any contributions
